MANITOWISH RIVER STUDIO specializes in area rugs and wall pieces that are created in colorful wools and linen, and fine jacquard weavings woven in cotton. Pictorial designs influenced by natural landscapes, as well as designs inspired by Celtic patterns, Frank Lloyd Wright images and Native American pictographs are woven by Mary Burns (pictured). Please feel free to browse this site for photos of Mary's work. Mary also conducts seminars and workshops in fiber arts. A schedule of those events may be found on the CALENDAR page. If you have any questions about this site please check the FAQ page or contact Mary (contact information at lower right). Manitowish River Studio is located in the crossroads of Manitowish in northern Wisconsin, near the intersection of Hwy 51 and Hwy 47. It is 26 miles north of Woodruff, 4 miles south of Mercer.
